Militant au sein de divers partis politiques de la gauche r\u00e9publicaine depuis le milieu des ann\u00e9es 70, il a ressenti l\u2019urgence de l\u2019action humaniste et la\u00efque au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 90 et s\u2019y est consacr\u00e9 depuis. Pr\u00e9sident-fondateur d\u2019Unit\u00e9 La\u00efque, Il repr\u00e9sente l\u2019association au sein de diverses instances dont le Collectif la\u00efque national.
